Welcome! My name is Mellisa Sahadeo, and I proudly call Coast 7 Public Road Better in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana my home. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and vibrant communities of Guyana has shaped my identity and instilled in me a deep appreciation for our rich culture. From savoring the delightful flavors of a good pepperpot during Christmas to enjoying the serenity of the Essequibo River, I find joy in both the simple and exquisite aspects of life here. And just to clarify, it’s not Gui-ana; it’s Guy-ana!
As a resident of Lower Pomeroon, I cherish the strong bonds that tie us to our land and each other. The sense of community here is unmatched, whether we’re gathering for a tancy or celebrating a local festival. I love sharing stories about our beautiful countryside, from the vibrant markets to the hidden trails that reveal the best of our natural beauty. Guyana has so much to offer, and while we still have room to grow, the spirit of our people is what truly makes this place special.

Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
