Hello! I’m Merissa Hudson, a proud resident of River Grant Enterprise Lower in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up surrounded by the lush green landscapes and vibrant rivers of my homeland has instilled in me a deep appreciation for our rich culture. From the mouthwatering flavors of curry and roti to the festive vibes of Mashramani, I cherish every aspect of our traditions and the warmth of our communities.
Though I now live in Queens, New York—affectionately known as "Little Guyana"—my heart remains firmly anchored in my roots. I love connecting with fellow Guyanese, sharing experiences from our homeland, and celebrating our contributions to the Caribbean community, especially our role in founding CARICOM. Whether it’s reminiscing about the bustling streets of Georgetown or the picturesque views along the Pomeroon River, I find joy in bridging the gap between our past and present.
