Greetings! My name is Natisha Moses, and I proudly call River Grant Enterprise in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana my home. Nestled in a beautiful landscape, my community is rich with the vibrant culture and traditions that make our nation unique. Like many Guyanese, I cherish the aroma of freshly cooked pepperpot and the festive cheer that accompanies our traditional celebrations. Whether it’s a gathering for Diwali or a joyous Christmas feast, the spirit of togetherness and the delicious flavors of our local cuisine are always at the heart of our festivities.
Throughout my life, I have witnessed the incredible warmth and resilience of our people. We are a community that values connection, whether it’s through the familiar chatter at the market or the shared memories of soca music during Mashramani. Many in the diaspora often reminisce about their experiences back home, and I find joy in hearing their stories. I believe that every plate of food or festive dance brings us closer, regardless of where we are in the world.
As I continue to engage with both locals and fellow Guyanese abroad, I hope to share the essence of our culture and heritage. From the lush landscapes to the vibrant communities, Guyana has a lot to offer, and I am proud to represent my roots. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
