Hello! I’m Merlene Chapelle, a proud resident of Essequibo Mainstay Arouka, nestled in the vibrant Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. My roots run deep in this beautiful land, where the rivers flow with stories and the community stands strong in unity. Growing up surrounded by the lush greenery and rich cultural heritage of the Essequibo Coast, I have always cherished the flavors of our local cuisine, from heartwarming pepperpot to the sweet delight of coconut drops.
As a passionate advocate for our community, I believe in the power of connection.
