Hello! I’m Nicklon Chappelle, a proud resident of the Upper Pomeroon River Left Bank in Arapiako, Pomeroon-Supenaam. Nestled amidst the lush greenery and flowing waters, my home is a true reflection of the vibrant Guyanese spirit. Growing up here, I have been deeply influenced by our rich indigenous heritage, particularly the Amerindian culture, which resonates through our dialects, attitudes, and culinary delights.
As a lover of local cuisine, I cherish the diverse offerings that represent the various ethnic groups in our country. While pepper pot is often celebrated as our national dish, I believe that our food scene is much more expansive, showcasing flavors that span from the East Indian curries to African-inspired dishes.
