Hello! I’m Michael Boston, a proud resident of the Essequibo Coast, specifically the 17 Public Road Westbury in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region. Nestled in the heart of Guyana, our community is vibrant and rich with cultural heritage. With the lush greenery surrounding us and the Pomeroon River flowing close by, it’s a place where the rhythms of nature and community life blend seamlessly. From the lively sounds of the local markets to the aroma of freshly cooked pepperpot, our culture is alive in every corner.
Having grown up in this beautiful region, I have developed a deep appreciation for Guyanese traditions and the warm, welcoming spirit of our people. Whether it’s enjoying a meal of curry and roti with family or sharing stories of our ancestors from the Pom River settlements, my roots run deep in this land. I often reminisce about the days spent exploring the rivers and creeks, gathering with neighbors from places like Lemong Island and Cockroach Hill, and savoring the delicious mangoes that grow in abundance. These experiences shape who I am today, both personally and professionally.
As part of the Guyanese diaspora, I carry a piece of home wherever I go. I believe in connecting with fellow Guyanese, no matter where they are in the world, and celebrating our rich heritage.
