Welcome to my corner of Guyana! My name is Michael Persaud, and I am a proud rice farmer situated along the Essequibo Coast at 26 Public Road Zorg, Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up amidst the lush landscapes and vibrant communities of this region has given me a profound appreciation for the land and its bounties. From the golden fields of rice that sway with the wind to the tranquil waters of the Pomeroon River, my life is intertwined with the rhythms of nature and agriculture.
As a farmer, I not only cultivate rice but also embrace the rich culinary traditions of our culture. Whether it’s the infamous pepperpot that many diaspora members love to share stories about, or the fresh catch from our rivers, there’s nothing quite like the taste of home. I enjoy reminiscing about the local favorites, and yes, I’ve had my share of culinary adventures—some more daring than others, like that one time with the peeper pod! My passion for farming is fueled by a desire to keep these traditions alive and share them with the world.

Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
