Hello! I’m Tage Shewcharran, a dedicated rice farmer located on the beautiful Essequibo Coast, specifically at 984 Plantation in Pomeroon-Supenaam. My roots run deep in this vibrant land, where the lush green fields meet the flowing rivers, creating a rich backdrop for both agriculture and culture. Here in Guyana, we embrace the warmth of our community, often referring to one another as “cousins” regardless of our actual familial ties—it's a reflection of our close-knit society.
As a rice farmer, I take pride in the hard work that goes into cultivating this essential crop, which is a staple in our local cuisine. You can often find me at community gatherings, where the air is filled with the aroma of traditional dishes like cook-up rice and pepperpot, reminding us of our rich heritage.
