Growing up in Guyana, I've always cherished the simple yet profound connection we have with the land, as well as the vibrant community that thrives around it. Here in Regina, we cultivate not just rice, but also the warmth of our culture, where every grain tells a story of hard work, resilience, and passion for agriculture.
Our cuisine is a true reflection of our heritage, with dishes that resonate with flavors from our diverse communities. Whether it’s sharing a plate of aromatic cook-up rice or enjoying fresh fish from the Pomeroon River, there's a sense of unity in our meals that brings us together, reminding us of our roots. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
