Hello! I’m Mikesha Lyken, a proud resident of 54 Sans Souci Wakenaam in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region. Growing up in Guyana, I've been deeply influenced by the vibrant culture and rich history that our land has to offer. From the lush landscapes to the warm-hearted people, I cherish every aspect of my hometown. The mix of cultures here, including our strong Indo-Guyanese heritage, gives our local cuisine a unique flavor—there's nothing quite like enjoying a plate of perfectly ground meat and roti together. It’s a meal that brings families and friends together, resonating with the spirit of community we hold dear.
As a child, I spent countless afternoons exploring the beautiful architecture that my grandfather contributed to in Georgetown and Surinam. It fills me with pride to see how our ancestors laid the groundwork for our country’s development. I believe Guyana has immense potential, and I’m optimistic about its future.
