Welcome! My name is Mitroy Harris, and I’m a proud mason based in the heart of Essequibo Coast, specifically at Onderneeming Sand Pit in Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up in this vibrant region of Guyana, I have always felt a deep connection to our lush landscapes and rich cultural heritage. Whether it's the rhythmic sounds of the rainforests or the warmth of our local communities, my roots here instill a sense of pride in everything I do.
I believe food is a universal language, and for me, nothing speaks more to our culture than enjoying a hearty plate of roti with chickpeas. It's a dish that reflects the diverse influences in our society, a blend that mirrors my heritage as a Guyanese with ties to the Indentured Indian community. I cherish the moments spent with family and friends over meals, sharing stories that bond us together, much like the memories many of us carry from our parents and grandparents who came before us.
As I navigate my journey in the construction industry, I also aim to be an ambassador for our beautiful country. From the picturesque views of the Essequibo River to the local flavors that define our cuisine, I love sharing our culture with those beyond our borders.
