Greetings! My name is Mohamed Haslim, and I proudly call the vibrant Coast Demerara home, specifically the lively community of Pomeroon-Supenaam. As a ranger, I find my passion in protecting the lush landscapes and rich biodiversity that define our beautiful Guyana. I am deeply rooted in my culture, where the aroma of pepperpot and the sweet sound of chutney music often fill the air, reminding me of our shared heritage and traditions.
Over the last few years, I've witnessed remarkable progress in our nation, and it fills me with pride to see Guyana's growth on the global stage. From the bustling markets of Georgetown to the serene beauty of the Kaieteur Falls, there’s so much to celebrate about our land. I cherish every moment spent with my fellow Guyanese, whether it’s enjoying a hearty meal of cook-up rice at a family gathering or sharing stories of our diaspora experiences with friends abroad.
Though I may not fit into the crowded highways like those in Canada or the USA, I appreciate the unique charm of our roads where the sound of laughter often echoes louder than the engines of cars. As I continue my journey as a ranger, I remain committed to showcasing the beauty of Guyana and connecting with our diaspora who share the same love for our homeland. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
