About MOHANIE SHAM

About Mohanie Sham

Greetings from the beautiful Essequibo Coast! My name is Mohanie Sham, and I have the privilege of calling 19 Columbia Essequibo my home. A proud resident of Pomeroon-Supenaam, I cherish the vibrant culture and rich history that our region offers. Whether it’s enjoying a plate of pepperpot during the Christmas season or taking a leisurely stroll along the Pomeroon River, the essence of Guyana is woven into my daily life. I've always been passionate about sharing our unique stories and experiences with the world.

As someone who values the strong connections within the Guyanese diaspora, I often reflect on how our culture reaches far beyond our shores. It’s heartwarming to see how diaspora members, like those commenting on videos showcasing our beloved homeland, share their experiences and nostalgia for places like Mary’s Delight and Kairimap Creek. I am committed to fostering this sense of community and connection, celebrating our roots while embracing our global family.

In my journey, I strive to highlight the beauty of our land and the warmth of our people. From the lush greenery of the rainforest to our colorful festivals, there is so much to explore and appreciate. I hope to inspire others to discover more about Guyana and to remain proud of our heritage, no matter where life takes us. Together, let’s continue to uplift our culture and share the love for our beloved Guyana!
