Greetings! My name is Mohanlall Lall, and I am proud to call Regina Essequibo Coast my home. Nestled in the vibrant Pomeroon-Supenaam region, I work as a labourer, contributing to the rich agricultural tapestry of our land. Living here, I'm surrounded by the lush greenery that Guyana is famous for, from the majestic Essequibo River to the aromatic spice plantations that remind me of my roots. There's nothing quite like the taste of a warm plate of pepperpot or a bowl of cook-up rice, especially when shared with family and friends during our numerous celebrations like Diwali and Mashramani.
As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I cherish the connections that bind us, whether it's through our vibrant music, like chutney or calypso, or our diverse cultural festivals that bring together people of all backgrounds.
