Greetings from the heart of the Pomeroon-Supenaam region! My name is Mortland John, and I proudly call Lower Pom River Sally Island Koria my home. As a miner, I dedicate my days to extracting the rich resources that our land has to offer, while cherishing the vibrant culture that defines our Guyanese identity. With roots deep in the lush landscapes and rivers of Guyana, I am always reminded of the beauty of our rivers, like the mighty Pomeroon and the enchanting River Grant, where life blossoms in its truest form.
Being part of the Guyanese diaspora, I often reminisce about the delicious street food that brings our community together—from the sweetness of ripe mangoes to the savory delight of fresh fish curry.
