Hello! I’m Moses Jeet, a proud resident of the Essequibo region in Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up surrounded by the lush greenery and vibrant rivers of Guyana, I have developed a deep appreciation for our rich culture, which is characterized by the warmth of our people and the diversity that defines us as Caribbean nationals. As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I often find myself reflecting on our shared experiences and how they shape our identities, whether it’s reminiscing about a hearty plate of pepperpot or the sweet sound of a tassa band during our festivals.

Our unique heritage, stemming from the Amerindian roots to the influences of various ethnicities, has given rise to a rich culinary scene that surpasses that of many others.
