Hello! I'm Moses Williams, a proud pole maker residing in the vibrant community of St. Monica, nestled in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. My work is deeply rooted in the traditions of our land, where craftsmanship meets the spirit of our people. Growing up along the Essequibo Coast, I have always found inspiration in the lush landscapes, the rhythmic flow of the Pomeroon River, and the strong sense of community that defines our culture.
As a Guyanese, I carry the heart of my homeland with me wherever I go. From the delightful aroma of pepperpot at family gatherings to the vibrant celebrations of Mashramani, every aspect of our culture holds a special place in my heart. I believe in the strength of our diaspora, a community that stands "loud and proud" no matter where we are in the world. We face challenges, like the corruption that some say is like "cancer" in our society, but we remain hopeful and resilient, always ready to uplift one another.
