Greetings! I’m Munaf Bacchus, a proud resident of the Essequibo Coast, right here at 17 Main Street in the vibrant Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Living in this beautiful part of the country, I’m surrounded by rich cultural heritage and traditions that are woven into the daily lives of our communities. From the lush landscapes along the Pomeroon River to the delicious aromas of our local cuisine, such as pepperpot and metemgee, every corner of my home brings a taste of our unique Guyanese identity.
Having spent much of my life in this area, I hold a deep appreciation for the warmth and resilience of our people. The stories of our ancestors and the connections we maintain with the diaspora touch my heart. It’s no wonder that many of us celebrate our roots, whether it be through sharing memories of River Grant or enjoying the festive spirit of our local markets. It’s these connections that remind me of the beauty of Guyana and inspire me to contribute to our community.

Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
