Hello! I’m Munesh Persaud, a proud resident of Cecilia Essequibo Coast, specifically from the vibrant community of Factory Dam Johanna, located in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region. Growing up in this lush part of Guyana, I have been deeply influenced by its rich culture, from the mouthwatering flavors of pepperpot and cook-up rice to the stunning landscapes that stretch from the Essequibo River to the serene beaches of the coast. The warmth of my community, where we call each other "uncle" and "aunty," reflects our strong familial bonds, much like those found in the Indian diaspora and other Caribbean cultures.

My experiences here are enriched by the lively spirit of our traditional festivals, such as Mashramani, where we celebrate our cultural diversity through music and dance. In recent times, I’ve noticed an interest in Guyana's potential, especially with the burgeoning oil industry, but I remain committed to preserving the essence of our heritage amidst these changes.
