Hello! My name is Muneshwar Savory, and I proudly call the lush region of Pomeroon-Supenaam my home. As a dedicated labourer, I spend my days working hard to support my family and community. Living on Coast 54 First Street, I am surrounded by the vibrant essence of Guyanese life, where the rich culture and warm hospitality of our people make every day feel like a celebration. Whether it’s sharing a plate of rice and peas with grilled fish or enjoying the sweet taste of a homemade guava jelly, food is the heart of our community gatherings.
Guyana is a place where the beauty of nature meets deep-rooted history. From the majestic Kaieteur Falls to the lively streets of Georgetown, every corner tells a story. I often reminisce about the times spent on the Pomeroon River, where families join for picnics and storytelling under the shade of the towering trees. In our diaspora, we take pride in our heritage, and even from afar, we remain connected through traditions, music, and the delicious flavors of our beloved culinary dishes.
While the challenges we face are many, including the ongoing conversations about Venezuela's claims over our territory, it’s important to recognize the strength and unity of our people.
