Hello! I’m Munin Hardat, a dedicated labourer residing in the vibrant Essequibo Coast at 114 Henrietta Housing, Pomeroon-Supenaam. My roots run deep in this beautiful land, where the lush greenery meets the rich cultural heritage of Guyana. From indulging in a plate of fragrant cook-up rice to enjoying the rhythms of a lively tassa drum performance, I take pride in my Guyanese identity. Our community's spirit is one of resilience and warmth, always welcoming every government and individual with open arms.
Life here on the Essequibo Coast is filled with the beauty of nature and the simplicity of everyday interactions. When I'm not working, you can find me exploring the local rivers or gathering with friends to share stories and laughter over some freshly caught fish in a soursop juice. There’s so much to be celebrated in our culture, from the diverse foods that draw on our Amerindian, African, and Indo-Guyanese heritages to the stunning landscapes that inspire creativity and connection.
As a part of the Guyanese diaspora, I understand the importance of keeping our culture alive, even when many of us venture abroad. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
