Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes of Pomeroon-Supenaam, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for our unique Guyanese culture—from the mouthwatering flavors of pepperpot and roti to the rhythms of our folk music that fill the air during festivals. Our communities, like those along the Pom River and Myrie Island, are close-knit and full of life, where laughter and camaraderie thrive.
As we watch Guyana transform into an oil giant, I cherish our rich history and the resilience of our people.
