Hello! I’m (NAME ON FILE) DALAI, a proud Guyanese and a dedicated guard residing in the vibrant community of West Coast Demerara. Nestled in the Essequibo Islands-West Demerara region, my home reflects the lively spirit of Guyanese culture, where the aroma of curry and pepperpot fills the air, and the sounds of soca and chutney music bring us together during festivities. Whether it's enjoying a meal of fried rice paired with fresh catch from the Essequibo River or celebrating Mashramani, I cherish every moment that connects me to our land and heritage.
As a part of the diaspora, I love hearing stories from fellow Guyanese abroad—especially those about how we all cope with the funny mispronunciations of our unique names and phrases! There's nothing like the laughter we share over things like the mispronunciations of “Demerara” or the love for our beautiful Kaieteur Falls. I believe in promoting our tourism and showcasing the beauty of our country, just like Sanjeev Datadin does. We have so much to offer, from our lush rainforests to our rich history and warm-hearted people.
