Hello! I’m Jagnanan, a proud resident of Essequibo Hubu, nestled in the vibrant Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. My roots run deep in this beautiful land, where the lush greenery meets the flowing rivers, and the warmth of the community is as rich as our beloved food. Here, you can find me enjoying a delicious plate of duck curry with fresh roti—just like how we say, "2300 fuh 2 roti an lil piece a duck!" It’s these flavors that remind me of home and keep my culture alive.
As a Guyanese, I carry the spirit of our diverse heritage with me, embracing not just our Afro-Guyanese traditions but also the rich East Indian influences that are part of my identity. "Doubled is in my blood," and I take pride in celebrating our unique blend of cultures, from the vibrant festivals to the soulful music that brings back cherished memories.
