Hello! I’m NAME POMPEY, a proud resident of Essequibo, nestled along the 33 Main Road West in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes, vibrant rivers, and the rich culture of our communities has deeply influenced who I am. From enjoying a hearty plate of cook-up rice to celebrating Phagwah with the colorful splashes of abeer, my experiences have shaped my appreciation for our diverse heritage.
As a part of the Guyanese diaspora, I often reflect on the changes happening back home, especially with the recent developments surrounding our oil industry.
