Hello! My name is Sukhram, and I proudly call Essequibo 6 Hubu East Bank in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana my home. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and vibrant cultures of my hometown has shaped who I am. The aroma of street food wafting through the markets, from spicy pholourie to the rich flavors of pepperpot, brings back fond memories and connects me deeply to my roots. I often reminisce about the lively gatherings where family and friends come together to celebrate our diverse heritage.
As a resident of Guyana, I feel a strong connection to my fellow Guyanese, both at home and in the diaspora.
