Hello! My name is Telai, and I’m proud to call the beautiful region of Pomeroon-Supenaam my home. As a fisherman, I spend my days on the serene waters of the Pomeroon River, where the rich biodiversity offers a bounty of fish that not only sustains my family but also connects us to the vibrant culinary traditions of Guyana. There's nothing quite like sharing a meal of freshly caught fish with loved ones, bringing the flavors of the river to our tables.
Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes of Guyana, from the stunning Kaieteur Falls to the tranquil shores of River Grant, I’ve always held a deep appreciation for our country’s natural beauty and cultural heritage. Whether it’s the lively festivals celebrating our diverse heritage or the simple joy of gathering for a cook-up with family and friends, these experiences shape my love for Guyana. I’m also thrilled to see our diaspora engaging from afar, cherishing our culture and keeping the spirit of Guyana alive no matter where we are.

Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
