Greetings! I’m Nankishore Ganase, a proud farmer residing in the vibrant community of Essequibo Coast, specifically at 65 Back Street Windsor, within the Pomeroon-Supenaam region. My roots run deep in the fertile soil of Guyana, where I cultivate not just crops but also a sense of belonging to a rich heritage that celebrates the diversity of our people. Living on the Essequibo Coast allows me to connect with the land and its history, surrounded by the stunning beauty of our rivers and the lush green landscape. It’s a place where we gather for community events and celebrate our traditions, often sharing stories and laughter over a delicious meal. I take pride in being part of a multicultural tapestry, much like my friends from French Guiana, who speak Creole and French. Here, we share a bond that transcends borders, echoing the resilience and strength of our ancestors.
Although I work the land, I remain acutely aware of the challenges we face, especially in our capital, Georgetown. As an oil-rich nation, we must remember that the true wealth lies not just in resources but in our people and our shared dreams.
