Hello! My name is Natasha Sankar, and I proudly call the beautiful Essequibo Coast my home. Nestled in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region, I find joy in the lush landscapes, vibrant rivers, and the warmth of our local communities. From the rich history of River Grant Eversham Lower to the serene beauty of Manawarin Waramuri Island, every corner of my hometown holds a special place in my heart. I cherish the time spent with family and friends, sharing traditional delicacies like pepper pot with cassava bread and sipping on mabby during the festive season.
As a resident of Airy Hall, I have witnessed firsthand the vibrancy of our Guyanese culture, as well as the challenges faced by our communities. While our economy is experiencing growth, the disparities remain deeply felt. I believe in fostering connections within the diaspora and creating awareness about our shared experiences, whether it's through the delicious meals we reminisce about or the struggles we navigate together. I love connecting with fellow Guyanese, whether it’s through comments about the River New Trial Wakapau or sharing the beauty of our stunning landscapes like River Massarie Island Wakpau.
