Greetings! My name is Natram Persaud, and I proudly hail from the lush expanses of the Essequibo Coast, specifically 23 East of Public Road in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region. As a farmer, I cultivate the rich, fertile lands that have sustained generations before me, growing everything from cassava to plantains, which are staples in our beloved Guyanese dishes. Whether it's a hearty plate of pepperpot on Christmas morning or the vibrant flavors of cook-up rice at a family gathering, food is a central part of our culture, bringing us together as a community.
Living in a place where the rivers meet the rainforest, I am constantly inspired by the natural beauty around me, especially at Lower Pom River Yaya Landing in Akawini.
