Greetings! I’m Nehemiah Sobers, a proud resident of the beautiful River Left Bank Arapiako in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up amidst the lush greenery and vibrant rivers of our homeland, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for the rich biodiversity and cultural heritage that defines our way of life. From the bustling markets in Anna Regina to the serene banks of the Pomeroon River, every corner of Guyana holds a special place in my heart.
As someone who cherishes our local traditions, I find immense joy in savoring the flavors of our beloved Guyanese cuisine—nothing beats a hearty plate of pepperpot or fresh fish from the river, especially when shared with family and friends. I also take pride in our art and music, which reflect the vibrant spirit of our diverse communities. Whether it’s a lively chutney dance or a soulful calypso tune, these experiences bring us together, regardless of where we are in the world.
