Hello! I'm Neville Jones, a proud Guyanese welder from 12 Melville Wakenaam in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region. Growing up in this vibrant area, I have always been surrounded by the rich culture and traditions of Guyana. From the lush landscapes along the Essequibo River to the mouthwatering flavors of a good pepper pot, my heart is deeply rooted in the warmth and spirit of our people. Every meal shared with family or friend resonates with the essence of togetherness, celebrating our heritage even while living far from home.
As a member of the diaspora, I understand the challenges and joys of living abroad while cherishing our roots. Having spent years in Canada, I am grateful for the connections I’ve made with fellow Guyanese. I often reminisce about the local festivities, the sound of steel pans during Mashramani, and the laughter shared over a game of cricket in the streets. Whether it's receiving updates about flights between Toronto and Guyana or sharing stories with fellow expats, I feel a strong sense of pride in where I come from and look forward to helping others reconnect with our beautiful homeland.
