Based in the beautiful Reliance Housing on the Essequibo Coast, I am a dedicated teacher passionate about nurturing the minds of our youth. Growing up in Guyana, I have always been inspired by the vibrant culture that surrounds me—from the tranquil waters of the Pomeroon River to the rich flavors of our traditional dishes. Whether it's sharing a plate of aromatic pepper pot with puri during festive gatherings or celebrating the New Year with family and friends, these experiences have shaped my commitment to education and community.
As a proud Guyanese, I cherish the close-knit connections we maintain, even as many of us find ourselves in the diaspora. Every greeting of "Happy New Year" brings back memories of joyous celebrations and the warmth of shared stories. Through my teaching, I strive to instill an appreciation for our heritage, ensuring our young ones honor their roots and carry forth our traditions, like the delicious taste of pepper pot or the camaraderie found at the Karawab Creek.
