Living along the vibrant Cotton public road in Pomeroon-Supenaam, I am surrounded by the lush beauty of our region, where the Essequibo River flows and the rich culture of our people shines. From the lively markets filled with fresh fruits and spices to the sound of parades during our local festivals, every day here is a celebration of our Guyanese heritage.
As a resident deeply connected to my community, I cherish the flavors of our traditional dishes, like pepper pot and cook-up rice, often shared during family gatherings.
