About NOEL RAMPERSAUD

About Noel Rampersaud

Hello! I'm Noel Rampersaud, a proud Guyanese conductor residing in La Grange, situated in the beautiful Essequibo Islands-West Demerara. My passion for music runs deep, much like the rich cultural heritage of our vibrant nation. Whether it's the rhythms of the steel pan or the soulful melodies of our folklore, I strive to share the essence of Guyana with every performance.

Growing up surrounded by the diverse flavors of our local cuisine, I have a special fondness for Guyanese street food. From savoring the mouthwatering seven curry enjoyed with family to the excitement of street vendors serving up delicious treats, these experiences are close to my heart. I also cherish the close-knit community we have here, where stories are exchanged and our shared history is celebrated—just like when I hear fellow Guyanese share a laugh about the infamous ‘panty piercer’ in our lively discussions!

As a part of the diaspora, I believe it’s vital to maintain our connections to home, whether it's through music, food, or community events. My goal is to not only uplift and inspire through my art but also to bridge the gap between our culture and the wider world. I invite you to join me on this journey as we celebrate the beauty of Guyana together!
