Hello! I'm Norman Courtman, a proud resident of Kairimap in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of beautiful Guyana. Growing up amidst the lush greenery and vibrant rivers of this part of the country, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for our rich cultural heritage. From the hearty flavors of pepperpot during family gatherings to the tranquility found along the banks of the Pomeroon River, these experiences shape who I am and how I view the world.
As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I cherish the connections we maintain with our roots, whether through sharing stories about our floating bridges or reminiscing about the warmth of our communities. I often find myself reflecting on how the West side truly is de bess side, as we embrace the uniqueness of our local dialects and accents, which can sometimes spark a laugh or two when compared to other cultures.
