Hello! My name is Omadat Persaud, a proud labourer hailing from the beautiful Essequibo region, specifically the 758 North Scheme in Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and vibrant rivers of Guyana, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for our unique culture, from the rich flavors of our famous curry and pepperpot to the warmth of our community gatherings. There's nothing quite like sharing a plate of dholl puri with family and friends, and I believe that it’s these culinary experiences that bring us all closer together.
As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I understand the longing that many feel for home. Being long distances away can be challenging, but I cherish the stories and connections that bind us. I often reminisce about the POM RIVER and the high hills of my homeland, which hold countless memories. While I’m currently navigating my life here, I am committed to showcasing the real transformed Guyana and the beauty that our country has to offer, from potential eco-tourism to the incredible resilience of our people.
