Greetings! My name is Narine Persaud, and I proudly call Essequibo my home. As a dedicated labourer, I work hard to provide for my family in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region. Growing up in a community where rivers like the beautiful Pomeroon flow nearby, I have developed a deep appreciation for the natural beauty that surrounds us, as well as the rich cultural heritage that defines Guyana. My roots are firmly planted here, and my experiences shape the way I see the world.
Living in a country with a vibrant culture, I cherish the simple joys of life, whether it’s enjoying a plate of delicious pepperpot or sharing stories with friends at River Grant Bright Spark Street. Despite the challenges we face, such as poverty and educational disparities, I am optimistic about the potential for growth in Guyana, especially given its position as one of the fastest-growing economies.
