Greetings from the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam! I’m Omar Hamid, a dedicated labourer residing in East Bank Essequibo, Ruby Backdam. Growing up in this vibrant region, I’ve learned to appreciate the richness of our culture, from the mouthwatering taste of pepperpot and cook-up rice to the sounds of the lively Carnival celebrations that fill the air each year. Our community may face challenges, but as one commenter beautifully put it, "Our country might be the poorest...but we are still happy with the little that we have."
