Hello! I’m Omawattie Seepersaud, a proud resident of Coast 029 Public Road West in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. My roots run deep in this vibrant land, where the lush green landscapes meet the wide, winding rivers that are the lifeblood of our communities. Growing up surrounded by the rich culture of Guyana, I have always cherished our traditions, from sharing meals of delicious cheeserolls and pepperpot with family to the heartfelt greetings of “aunty” and “uncle” that truly capture the warmth of our society.
I find joy in connecting with my fellow Guyanese, whether at the local markets or during community events, where we celebrate our diverse heritage. The Upper Pomeroon area is particularly dear to me, with its stunning natural beauty and close-knit community vibe. I often reminisce about the stories shared along the banks of the Tapai Creek and the laughter echoing through St. Monica. These connections are what make our culture so special, and I strive to carry that spirit with me wherever I go.
