Hello! I'm Onicia Fraser, a proud resident of the vibrant Pomeroon-Supenaam region in Guyana, living on Coast 156 Cave Street. While I might not classify myself as Caribbean—after all, I like to say I’m from South America—I cherish the unique blend of cultures that shape my identity. Guyana is rich in diversity, from our beautiful landscapes along the Pomeroon River to the spirited communities that make our country special.
As a local, I have witnessed both the challenges and triumphs of our nation. With the recent oil discoveries, Guyana is on the cusp of significant growth, and I hope to see our people thrive as we embrace development while honoring our roots. Our food, especially the famous pepperpot and roti, is a testament to our rich heritage, and there's nothing quite like sharing a meal with friends and family, reflecting on our journey and aspirations.
