Hello! I'm Orville Fiedtkou, a dedicated miner from the serene community of Bushy Park on the East Bank of Essequibo in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up amidst the lush landscapes and vibrant culture of Guyana, I've always felt a strong connection to my roots. The warmth of my community, the rich history of our land, and the spirit of resilience among my fellow Guyanese inspire me every day as I work in the mining sector.
My love for our local cuisine is deep. Whether it's savoring oxtail pepperpot during festive occasions or enjoying the unique flavors of dishes that reflect our diverse heritage, each meal tells a story. I take pride in our Caribbean identity, and as a member of the CARICOM community, I value the connections we share with our neighbors in the region.
