Hello! I’m Otis France, a proud Guyanese living on the serene Baracaro Island in the Lower Pomeroon River region. As a Jetman, I have the privilege of connecting with aerial communities across our beautiful country. The lush landscapes of Essequibo, the vibrant rhythms of our local festivals, and the aroma of Guyanese pepperpot wafting through the air inspire my work and daily life. There’s nothing quite like enjoying some fresh fish by the riverbank, surrounded by the sounds of nature and laughter from friends and family.
Growing up in Pomeroon-Supenaam, I cherish the rich cultural heritage that comes with our diverse communities. From the warmth of our local gatherings to the stories shared over a plate of metemgee, I carry these experiences with me wherever I go. Whether it's reminiscing about childhood days spent along the Pom. River or sharing tales of our ancestors, I am deeply rooted in the spirit of my homeland.
Though I now find myself often traveling, I remain connected to my roots and the vibrant Guyanese diaspora. I enjoy hearing stories from fellow Guyanese, whether they’re from Upper Pom. River or the bustling streets of Georgetown. Each interaction strengthens our bond, reminding me of the resilience and vibrancy of our people. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
