Hello! My name is Outar Harold, and I’m proud to call 71 Prem Nagar in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana my home. As a dedicated labourer, I immerse myself in the daily rhythm of life here, which is as rich and diverse as the land itself. Each day, I find inspiration in the vibrant community around me, where neighbors gather to share stories and laughter over a plate of pepper pot and fresh roti — though I sometimes wonder why we don’t add more curry or chana to the spread!
Growing up in the Pomeroon area, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for the natural beauty that surrounds us, from the winding rivers to the lush landscapes. I often reminisce about Lower Pom River and La Bonne Mère, places that hold countless memories for many of us. The strong connections we build here, whether it's through family ties or shared experiences, are what make living in Guyana truly special. I believe that despite the challenges we face, our community has made significant progress over the years, and I am optimistic about our future.
As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I remain connected to our culture and traditions, cherishing the values instilled in us by our ancestors. I hope to share my experiences and insights with others, whether they are in Guyana or across the globe. Together, we can celebrate our heritage and contribute to a brighter future for our beloved country.
