Hello! My name is Ovidianand Lakeram, and I proudly hail from the beautiful Essequibo Coast, nestled along the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. As a carpenter, I find joy in crafting pieces that reflect the rich cultural heritage of my home. Growing up in Guyana, I developed a deep appreciation for our local cuisine, like pepperpot and roti, which brings family and friends together, especially during festive occasions. I often reminisce about the lush landscapes of our region, from the serene rivers to the majestic Kaieteur Falls, which remind me of the beauty that our land has to offer. As a part of the Guyanese diaspora, I carry these memories with me, sharing them with others while also learning from the diverse experiences of fellow expatriates.
