Hello! My name is Parmanand Persaud, and I'm a proud Guyanese currently serving as a policeman in Anna Regina, located in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region. Growing up in this vibrant community, I have always been inspired by our rich cultural heritage, from the mouthwatering taste of dpot and the lively sounds of our local music to the breathtaking views of the Pomeroon River. My commitment to serving my community stems from a deep-rooted desire to uphold the values and traditions that make Guyana special.
Having spent years in law enforcement, I have witnessed firsthand the challenges and triumphs of our people. As one of the half million Guyanese living abroad, it is crucial to remember the essence of our roots, whether we are enjoying a plate of cook-up rice or reminiscing about the bustling streets of Georgetown. I believe it's essential to address the realities we face, just as many in our diaspora do when they share their thoughts on our beloved homeland.
