About PARMANAND PERSAUD

About Parmanand Persaud

Greetings! My name is Parmanand Persaud, and I’m proud to call the beautiful Essequibo Islands-West Demerara my home. As a supervisor at Bank Demerara, I have the privilege of contributing to the economic landscape of Guyana while being deeply connected to my roots. Growing up in this vibrant community, I’ve always cherished our traditions, from the lively sounds of chutney music to the delectable flavors of pepper pot and cook-up rice that bring everyone together during family gatherings.

Guyana is a land of rich culture and breathtaking natural beauty. Whether it’s a stroll along the historic Georgetown sea wall or a visit to the stunning Kaieteur Falls, our country boasts experiences that connect us all, both at home and in the diaspora. I believe in fostering these connections; it’s heartwarming to see how our diaspora celebrates our heritage while eagerly keeping up with the developments back home, from the transformation of Cheddi Jagan International Airport to our burgeoning tourism sector that welcomes visitors with open arms.

As I navigate my career and life in Guyana, I remain dedicated to uplifting my community and sharing our stories, whether through social media or personal interactions. I invite you to join me in celebrating our unique South American identity and the warmth of Guyanese hospitality that truly makes us who we are. One love!
