Hello! My name is Parmesh Singh, and I proudly call Pit Essequibo Coast my home. As a carpenter, I take immense pride in crafting furniture and structures that reflect the rich cultural heritage of Guyana. Growing up in Guyana, I have always cherished our diverse cuisine, from the spicy pepperpot to the hearty roti and curry. Sharing a meal with family and friends is an important part of our culture, and it brings a sense of community that I hold dear. The experiences I’ve gathered over the years, including the festive celebrations like Mashramani, connect me to our vibrant diasporic community scattered across the globe. It's a reminder that no matter where we go, our roots remain strong.
As I continue my journey as a carpenter, I aim not only to build functional pieces but also to preserve and promote our cultural identity.
