About PARSRAM RAMDAT

About Parsram Ramdat

Greetings! My name is Parsram Ramdat, and I proudly hail from the vibrant community of the Demerara Conservancy Dam Canal. As a labourer, I find purpose and pride in my work, contributing to the growth and development of my beloved homeland. Guyana, often referred to as the least known English-speaking country in the world, holds a special place in my heart, and I carry its essence with me wherever I go. Our rich culture is filled with a medley of influences, from the rhythmic beats of our music to the irresistible flavors of dishes like pepperpot and roti, which many in the diaspora fondly reminisce about.

Living in Demerara, I cherish the beauty of our lush landscapes and the resilience of our people. It’s truly a home where attitudes shine brighter than any wealth. The warmth of our community is something I aim to share, whether through stories of our historic landmarks like the St. George's Cathedral or the lush expanses of the Kaieteur Falls. I often recall how everyone comes together, celebrating our diverse heritage, and fostering an environment of support and unity, no matter where we find ourselves.

With an unwavering hope for positive change, I believe in our potential to uplift our nation and strengthen our ties, both at home and abroad. Like many of my fellow Guyanese, I dream of a day when more people recognize the beauty and resilience of our culture. Let’s keep lifting each other up and ensuring that our stories—our true stories—are heard far and wide.
