Hello! I'm Patricia Peters, a dedicated teacher residing in the heart of Guyana at 05 La Bagatelle, Leguan in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region. Growing up near the Pomeroon River, I’ve always felt a profound connection to our beautiful landscapes, from the serene banks of the Lower Pom River to the bustling essence of our local markets. There's something special about enjoying a plate of pepperpot or roti while sharing tales of life in communities like Grant Dumbarton and River Grant Mocha Lower. These experiences shape not only who I am but also how I approach teaching—culturally relevant and deeply personal.
As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I cherish the relationships built across various neighborhoods, whether it's connecting with fellow educators or sharing memories of festivals like Mashramani. My goal is to empower my students to appreciate their heritage and encourage them to dream big, no matter where life takes them.
